SUMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMEEEEEEEEEEEEEEERRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRR

Woah, okay, procrastianting is unhealthy so I am going to give you, literally, the SUMMER LOW DOWN! YAYYYY!. Also, I am lazy.

Okay first things first!

Look at this face!  How old is this face?

THIS FACE IS 13!!!!!!!!!
I got a phone!!!!!!!!!!!! My birthday was cool. I went to san fran, then went camping with the girl scouts. Very kewl.

Then after girl scouts I went to THE BEST PLACE EVEEERRRRR.  CAL SHAKES CAMP.  Basically shakespeare camp, but filled with nerds like me.  Everyone is family! This year i portrayed Ferdinand, the handsome prince, in The Tempest. It was a blast.  I LOVE YOU FELLOW CAMPERS!

Then after that I chilled a bit, and went to Summer Of Summit!, which would be better titled, Review School Time! I didn't NEED to go, because I finished the year, but it was basically just a quick review.

After that I went to Washington to visit my grandpa and uncles and other members of my extended family. My grandmother, or my Nana, recently passed on, and we spread her ashes and had a ceremony.  I wrote a poem.  It was a bittersweet moment.  Afterwords, I had dinner with my godparents.   We hang out and took care of my grandpa, then we went back home.

Sometime during the summer, perhaps before all of this, I went to Fanime Con, one of the biggest Anime Cons in Cali! It was so cool, and I went with my best friend Zoe. Wooo. In September, I'm going to Sac anime!

 *sigh* Soon, summer was over.

I'm back in school again.  My friends are back.  The huge difference is all these seventh graders that swarmed in.  Last year, the only class was seventh graders, or us.  But now I'm an 8th grader, so all these seventh graders are swamping us.   All my friends are totally cool with it, but there are parts of my that want to build a bunker in the lunchroom, grab all the candy, and yell, "SMALL CHILD APOCALYPSE! EVERYBODY HIDE!"

Actually, they aren't all that bad.  Most of them are friendly and none of them bite (as far as I know ;) )
And they aren't small at all.  I guess It's just hard to imagine me in their place.  Honestly I wish them the best of luck.  GO 7TH GRADERS!

So, that's the end for this post, I guess.
Next post will be about the school camping trip, and going to SacAnime Con!

Love You All, If Anyone's Out there!

Cheers and Tears

Hey gang, Liv here.

I thought I should talk about what I did recently, because it is important to my life, and it also took up most of my weekend.

Recently, my honorary grandpa Hugh Strele passed away.  He was 89, and this weekend, I went up to Mountain Ranch to say goodbye.  I stayed there all day, starting at 4 am, comforting and consoling his wife Esther, and their dog, Tiger. Even though it took up a lot of chill time, there was no place I would rather have been then right there with them, to ease pain, and keep them company. At the end of the day, there was a memorial service. Nearly half the town came to pay their respects.  At the end of the service, Grandma Esther was presented with the American flag, to thank Hugh for his service in WWII and in Vietnam. Everyone applauded, and I have never seen my honorary grandmother so happy, so proud, or so sad.

I admit, I probably cried a whole lot. I blubbered like a small child, so sue me. It was beautiful watching the whole town brought together, and I bet you $5 you would have cried too, if you felt like I did. However, my grandpa lived a great life, and we celebrated his life instead of mourning in grief.

One of the upsides of this sad time, mainly the "Cheers" in the title, was that I got to meet a lot of my honorary cousins and uncles and aunts.  Oh, I'm sorry. I say honorary, because I'm not really related to them. Even though they have other real parents, Hugh and Esther sort of adopted my Mom and Dad, so they are my honorary relatives.  I treat them just like I would my real family.
Anyway, I got to meet all of my honorary family, and after the memorial, we had a blast.  I played-with/babysat a whole bunch of cousins for a really long time.  I enjoyed it, though it was mostly just running after a lot of 6 year olds on a sugar high. We also found a cave close to my grandma's house!  It was soooo cool.  Like, cold.  No, seriously, it was around 20 degrees down there. But anyway, I had a lot of fun, and the food was great.  I was grateful for the company.

So, that was my weekend. It was full of joy and sadness, but everything turned out to be okay. I was glad to be there with my family, honorary or no.  I love them all, and I loved Hugh.

Thanks for reading, I'm working on my vlooogs! Be excited, be very excited!

Liv

WIPEOUT weekend, and the SPRING BREAK

First of all, let's have some cool music while you are reading this post.

*searches*  Oh, here we go!

Perfect.

Now, here is a hint to what I did the weekend before last. After this it will be kind of obvious:

I WENT SURFING!
And it was harder than you would think.  Let's just say I didn't stand up....once. At all.  I just...kind of fell down a lot.

Oh yes!  I also went to an awesome production of Romeo and Juliet at the Omni Commons. It was a great weekend, but anyways-->

On to my spring break! The time for seeing family and traveling. Here was my schedule!

Saturday: Watched TV, cleaned house and went shopping in downtown Oakland!
Sunday:  EASTER! CANNNNDDDYYYY! ATE CANDY AND MORE CANDY AND DEVOURED A 1 and 1/2 foot tall chocolate bunny! YAYYYY!
Mon.: Sat around, did chores, called friends, played halo, chilled out.
Tues.:  See above
Wen.: WENT TO EPIC CARTOON MUSEUM IN SAN FRAN!
Thurs,: See Monday
Fri.: WATCHED EPIC VAMPIRE MOVIE.
Saturday: WATCHED GONE WITH THE WIND! AMAZING!
Sunday: Went to the park, finished a project, ate a huge pancake breakfast, made 3 vlogs (all coming to this blog soon!), watched TV, and rode a carousel (don't judge).

Honestly, It was super fun! I loved it. However, I definitely needed the chill out time too, and I had plenty of time, (as I said)  to made vlogs! YAY!  I will try my hardest to get them on in the next post!

Well, I just wanted to notify the public that I had a fun break, and didn't get kidnapped, or dognapped, or...some kind of napped.

Don't Worry, Be Happy! Chill Out! Relax!

Back to Basics

Hello there!  Sorry I have not written in a while. I know it must have been traumatic , as I know you all hang on my every word for dear life and are completely riveted to each post :D

Okay, Okay.  I'm kidding. But I'm still grateful to those who read! Thank you very much!

AAAAAANYWAY, life has been pretty mundane lately.  School, swimming, watching TV and the like. However, there are still some things that happen now and then that keep me from a one way ticket to snoresville.

For one, I recently went to play at SF Playhouse called Stupid _____ Bird.  I say _____ because the name was more than a little profane.  And, not surprisingly, so was the play. Stupid _____ Bird is a sort of half parody, half alternative viewpoint to the play "The Seagull"  by Chekhov.
Bascially, and I say basic in the most BASICALLY BASIC FORM POSSIBLE what happens in the play is this.

*inhales*

This guy is really obsessed with this girl and he is also a really crazy playwrite.  However, the girl he likes is in love with this playboy writer.  Meanwhile, a really depressed girl is in love with the crazy playwrite, but a really nice guy is inlove with her. The crazy playwrite tries to get the girl to stop loving this writer, and goes screwball nuts in the process. He tries to kill himself, but fails. CUT TO 4 YEARS LATER: The Playwrite is still crazy.  The girl he loves ran away with the writer, but then her kid got killed and SHE went nuts. The depressed girl gave up and married the really nice guy.  Some old guy died and then the playwrite found that finally the girl will never love him and kills himself for real.

*gasps for breath and collapses*

Now, if for SOME REASON you would want an explanation that isn't completely confusing and uninformative, here is a helpful link on the play :D

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/The_Seagull?scrlybrkr

Also, if you are of noble heart, and just to be on the safe side, 12 or over, feel free to research the show I went to at SF playhouse.

Thanks for reading,
Liv

P.S. And no, I didn't write this a product placement or advertising.  I went on my own free will to the show, so calm down before you sue SF playhouse or the president, or my parents, or call the police.... Jeez.

YAY! 1300! *confetti popping*

Okay, so I can't afford to set up a carnevale-esque party, but if you have been looking at my pageviews, I just reached 1,300 pageviews!  YAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAY!  I'm so happy and I want to give my full appreciation to my readers for staying with me. For what once started as a dopey school project, my blog has become so important to me and all of my friends, who actually *gasp*  enjoy reading for pleasure.  I did not have to threaten them ONCE! ONCE!!

So because they are being imperative, shout out to Nia, Laurel, Laura, Michelle, Victoria, Maggie, Bridget, Dylan, Zoe, and Wallace. You mean a lot to me.

Me and Laurel NOT taking a selfie. NO on the selfies!
So again thank you from the bottom of my kidney. I love my fans and I love you all.  YAY!!!!

OHMYGURSH! School!

Umahgurd! It's finally here, the post where I tell you things that are happening in my life, right now! :D

Of course, that would have to incorporate my school life.

So here it is:  MY SCHOOL LIFE!
(for my fans at school, calm the heck down, I'm getting to you guys)

Let's seeeee. I'm in 7th grade. I know that's silly to say now, but my last school post was
in sixth, so I want to update. Yes, i'm in seventh, which everyone says is hard, but, heh, let me tell you, it's actually....hard. Yeah, it's hard, but I'm making do okay. The school I go to is charter school and it kicks serious donkey. First, we have computers, Second, everything you will ever need to do for the entire year, besides projects, is laid out in front of you on a huge  grid. You can do everything at your own pace, so this was like a dream for a nerd like me, who has always hated it when teachers tell me not to go ahead.

3rd grade teacher:  Don't go ahead, Liv.

Me:  (mutters) Speaking of heads, have you ever heard of a guillotine? I think it could come in handy right now.

Yeah, that didn't make me popular at elementary school.  But anyway, here, with the way the system is, I don't mean to brag, but I'll brag, and say that I have already finished all 7th grade work, all of it.  I'm now working on 8th and 9th!

Finally, I wish to thank my fans at school who game me 40 pageviews overall since the new years post.  Thanks!

Happy New Years, and Polar Bear Tears :(

Hey everyone! Happy new YEAR!
I hope Thanksgiving and Christmas was just spiffing, Mine was great.

My time at Hugh and Esther's was great.  And, for Christmas, I got to spend time with my family at my Dad's side of the family's in North Carolina!  Afterwards, I got to go to WASHINGTON DC!!!!!!!!

We went to the Smithsonian (a collection of the nation's most treasured museums), and walked to all the monuments (almost), and went Ice Skating, and ate the Hard Rock Cafe and... Yeah we did a lot, but the whole time I missed Sofia. Oh, and speaking of Sofia

Introducing:  THE TERRIERIST! I have opened up a second blog specially for my little munchkin as a super special Christmas gift! I haven't told her yet though, it's all very hush hush.  Because it is not yet fully formed, It will  perhaps open a little after January for your viewing pleasure, and though I love you keeping tabs on mine, I would encourage you to check it out.

And, also, as the title states, I am going to discuss the subject of polar bears, and global warming undying threat to them. Though I may not have discussed it, I was previously working on a save the tigers mission, and making a lot of posters.  However, it has come to my attention that polar bears need help too.

Polar bears live in a disappearing world.  They are able to swim, but that does not mean they are prepared for a place disappearing beneath their feet. Since 2000, miles and miles have disappeared from the ice caps, so much, that it can be easily seen from space! It's crazy! So just think, whenever there is a spare the air day, and you can't have a fire, where every greenhouse gas is going, and how it will contribute to another mile lost from the polar bears true home.

Thanks for reading!

Liv!
